Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, integration, monitoring, and maintenance of all surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, video management systems (VMS), servers, storage, and related software platforms. In addition to performing hands-on technical duties, this role supervises a team of system engineers and technicians, ensuring operational continuity, compliance with company policies, and adherence to surveillance and regulatory standards. All duties are performed in alignment with The Grand Ho Tram Strip’s mission, procedures, and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain surveillance system hardware and software including cameras, VMS servers, client workstations, and storage solutions.
  • Monitor system health and performance; ensure storage compliance with retention policies.
  • Apply regular updates, patches, and firmware upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues (hardware/software/network-related) and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation including network diagrams, configuration settings, and operating procedures.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of system expansion projects or new deployments.
  • Provide support for regulatory and internal audits by supplying relevant logs and technical reports.
  • Respond to emergency technical incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion in accordance with operational priorities.
  • Conduct training sessions to develop team capabilities in both technical skills and compliance awareness.
  • Evaluate team performance, provide coaching, and support staff development.
  • Serve as the escalation point for technical issues beyond junior team members’ capabilities.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and security protocols.
  • Manage inventory of surveillance system assets, coordinate procurement, and schedule preventive maintenance.
  • Liaise with external vendors and contractors for technical support, upgrades, or equipment replacement.
  • Collaborate with management to plan future system enhancements and capacity planning.
  • Perform other associated duties as assigned.
  • Must be available to respond to 24/7 emergency calls to perform or facilitate emergency repairs anywhere surveillance equipment is utilized.

Job Requirement

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in surveillance systems engineering, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server, SQL databases, Active Directory, and video storage systems.
  • Proficient in video protocols such as RTSP, ONVIF, and system integration with IP-based cameras.
  • Experience reading and interpreting system architecture diagrams, configuration documentation, and technical manuals.
  • Good level of English speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, documentation tools, and issue tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
