Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plant, turf, and maintain grass, bushes, trees, flowers, and other vegetation.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of building exteriors and surrounding areas to enhance curb appeal.
  • Conduct routine tasks, including pruning, mowing, edging, trimming, fertilizing, and watering to maintain the health and appearance of landscapes.
  • Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilisers to plants, brushes, flowers and other vegetation to control pests, and diseases and ensure healthy growth.
  • Remove trash, garden debris, and other waste materials to keep the assigned clean and well-maintained.
  • Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across the areas.
  • Assist in planning and executing seasonal planting and landscape renovations.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or landscaping issues to management on time.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing all tasks to ensure a safety working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team to support the overall maintenance and improvement of landscaped areas.

Job Requirement

Qualifications

  • At least three months of experience in gardening, lawn care or a related field.
  • Proficient in selecting appropriate plants, shrubs, flowers, vegetables, and herbs based on soil conditions and climate.
  • Ability to choose proper plants, shrubs and flowers based on soil content and climate.
  • Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively without direct supervision.
  • Physically fit with lifting, bending, and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Good knowledge of soil types, plant growth patterns and the necessary additives for optimal plant health growth.
  • Knowledge of landscape equipment and machinery operation, including movers, trimmers and irrigation systems, is preferred.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Familiarity with environmentally sustainable landscaping practices.
