Train the staff and supervise them in the performance of their duties.
Promote and up sell excursions to guests, customizing where necessary to meet guest needs.
Oversee the cleanliness of all Recreation facilities (including Fitness Center, Kids Club, Tennis Courts, Excursion Reservations area and Water Sports) and coordinate special requirements with Housekeeping.
Handle guest requests, complaints, and any special problems keeping Recreation Management well-informed and ensure proper follow-up.
Coordinate, schedule, and lead successful recreational sports and activity programs catering to kid, teen, and adult guests.
Instruct multi-sport programs
Assist Recreation Manager in hiring, training, and day to day supervision of staff
Supervise birthday, sports teams, and corporate functions
Set-up, take down, and monitor activities, Yoga, Tai chi, Aqua Fitness, Beach football, etc.
Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Perform any other tasks or projects as assigned by the hotel management and staff.
College degree is required.
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
One year experience in recreation.
Strong supervisory skills.
Outgoing personality and at ease with customers.
Sound knowledge of water sports and recreational activities.
Physically fit and able to swim.
Trained and certified in First-Aid, CPR, life guarding and rescue techniques.
